With smoke still escaping from the large hangar building, Lt. Chris Krueger surveys the scene.

Master Firefighter Marc Timbrook discusses utilities and door operation with a representative of the airport.

FF Timbrook prepares to enter exposure B-1 in an attempt to open the door for ventilation.

Members of Co. 1 already inside seek information about the operation of the hangar building from the facility representative.

Deputy Chief Marty Mantell had Division Charlie.

Two members of the Purcellville Volunteer Fire Co (#2) enter one of the smoke filled hangars.

Tower Ladder 2 goes into operation on Side C as Chief Mantell discusses operations with crews from Purcellville and Leesburg.

Lt. Krueger, who along with his crew on Tanker 1 (D/O Jeff Dunn, FF Anthony Jackson, FF Justin Holmberg) put a great stop on a dangerous fire, walks around the fire building.

With the structural stability of the garage door on side A in question, a triangle cut was made in side D by Co. 1 FF Joe Neiberger to allow safer access to the fire.

A shot of the A-D corner shows the paint that burned off the exterior of the building, as well as the damage to the structure.
